BSF Holds Civic Action Activities in Malkangiri

MALKANGIRI/KORAPUT : 02 Battalion BSF organised a Civic Action Programme at village/GP Tentuliguma for people of nearby villages under Boipariguda in the district Koraput. During the event clothes, stationery, household items and Medicines were distributed to nearly 350 villagers. During the programme, Malkangiri Sector DIG Sh. S K Sinha, Sh. ManojKarki, Comdt 02 Bn BSF, alongwith Officers and Jawans were present.“Such welfare programmes inculcate a sense of security amongst the citizen.More such programmes would be organized in the future,” said the DIG.

In his address, the DIG motivated the youth to complete their education,remain healthy and fit. He urged them to join the security forces and serve the country and also assured them of all possible help in pre-recruitment training. BSF has been associated with the public outreach program since long. Such programmes would go a long way in winning the hearts and minds of the tribals and gesture of helping hand will definitely dissuade them away from the naxals and bring them in the national mainstream.

 Border Security Force (BSF), the first line of Defence, always maintains good relations with the people wherever the Force is deployed.” The BSF has also been organising sports activities and distributing sports items to the youth”, said the DIG.

 The Civic Action Programme (CAP) is one of the major outreach initiatives conducted every year by the BSF deployed in the Maoist-affected districts. Smt Manmati Nayak, Sarpanch Madup, Sh Tarachand Bisoyi, Headmaster, Govt Primary School Bara, Sh Deepak Kumar Shirka, Headmaster Anlaguda Primary school, General Manager Meenakshi power Project and Ward Members of the area appreciated programme of BSF. A cultural Programme was also organised at the venue.
