CUTTACK/BHUBANESWAR: During the visit of Rakesh Asthana, Director General, B.S.F a meeting was held on Wednesday on Left Wing Extremism. DGP, Odisha Abhay, ADG (Operations), BSF, Odisha Director, Intelligence, and senior officers of State Police and BSF attended the meeting.
Issues relating to the present LWE scenario in the State, Particularly in the areas where BSF Companies have been deployed, progress made towards combating the menace, operational strategy, redeployment of BSF, coordination etc. were discussed in the meeting. State Police and BSF resolved to work with synergy to combat the LWE menace effectively.
