BHUBANESWAR: The Drug Task Force have seized 155 grams of brown sugar worth Rs 15 lakh following a raid at Nakhara, on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar in Odisha.Besides, two persons, whose identities were not known immediately, have also been apprehended for their alleged involvement in the case.
Twin City Police Commissioner, Sudhanshu Sarangi, informed this on his Twitter.“One more hit by our #DrugTaskForce led by Addl CP Sanjay Singh,155gms Brown Sugar, market value 15 lakh intercepted at Nakhara on way to be sold in Bhubaneswar,2 arrested,Balianta PS investigating. We will continue with relentless pursuit to clean up the city. Join hands with us,” Sarangi twitted.
Following a tip-off, a special team of Drug Task Force led by Addtional CP Sanjay Singh conducted a raid at Nakhara. During the search, the personnel found 155 grams of brown sugar from two persons. Subsequently, they were arrested under relevant Sections of IPC.A case has been registered against the accused persons and Balianta PS is investigating the case.
