BHUBANESWAR: In a major boost to BJP in Odisha ahead Padmapur byepolls, former Congress MP Sanjay Bhoi joined the Saffron Party at a function held on Thursday at Padmapur in Bargarh. Sanjay Bhoi, the son of 4-time Lok Sabha member late Krupasindhu Bhoi, was elected to the lower house of Parliament on Congress ticket from Bargarh Constituency in 2009.
BJP State Chief Samir Mohanty, Bargarh MP Suresh Pujari Leader of Opposition, Jay Narayan Mishra and former Minister KV Singh Deo were among those present and welcomed Bhoi.
Bhoi said that he did not get opportunity in Congress to serve people. Therefore, he decided to join the BJP as he was inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s working style.
