Informant:– Complt. Harekrushna Muduli(29) S/o- Panchu Muduli, At- Delta A Colony Unit-8, PSKhandagiri, UPD BBSR A/P- Sr Executive-cum- ATM Location In-Charge
Place of occurrence: – At SBI ATM Bolagarh, under Bolagarh PS, Khordha
Date of occurrence:- On 26/27.10.2023 at 12.00 AM night
Detail of arrested accd. Persons:–
1. Umakanta Swain aka Siba(34) S/o- Lt Niranjan Swain, vill- Padmapur, Chuda, PSBolagarh, Dist-Khordha.
Absconding accused: Nil
On dt.28.10.2023 at 9.30 AM complt. Harekrushna Muduli(29) S/o- Panchu Muduli, At- Delta A Colony Unit-8, PS- Khandagiri, UPD BBSR A/P- Sr Executive-cum- ATM Location In-Charge appeared at PS and present a written report alleging therein that on dt.26/27.10.2023 Night at about 12.00 AM one person miscreant the lock, card reader and front of the ATM and attempted to commit theft. Hence, he reported for taking Legal necessary action and IIC registered PS Case No- 275, dtd- 28.10.2023 U/s- 457/380/511 IPC and self took up investigation of the case.
During course of investigation, it came to light that accused Umakanta Swain made a plan to commit ATM theft. On 26/27.10.2023 night he had been to Bolagarh SBI ATM Cavin along with all the breaking instrument and damaged front part of ATM, card reader, cock of the ATM with an intension to commit theft of cash from ATM and when he failed to get out the cash, he went away from the spot.
Raiding Team:- Arrest of accused person under the leadership of Sri Dillip Kumar Das, OPS, SDPO, Khordha, Insp. Snigdha Mayee Baral, IIC, Bolagarh PS, Khordha, and arresting officer and raiding team SI Lily Padhi, ASI P Dalei, ASI AK Sethy, C/236 DP Ratha and other PS staffs managed to arrest accused Umakanta Swain from his house.
