BHUBANESWAR: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation in Odisha has sealed the office of Intelligence Bureau (IB) and kept all its employees under home quarantine.
The IB office located at RN Singhdeo Marg in Bhubaneswar has been sealed for a period of 14 days from April 6 to April 19, 2020. Sanitization and other disinfection drive will be taken up by the BMC during the period, said an official.
“All employees have been kept under home quarantine and their swab samples sent for testing.” informed BMC Commissioner Prem Chandra Chuadhary.
Sources said BMC took this decision after reports that one of the employees of the IB office had come in contact with a COVID-19 positive patient. Following the reports, the BMC decided to seal the office.
