BHUBANESWAR: BMC Commissioner, Vijay Amruta Kulange and Mayor Sulochana Das were on Wednesday morning visited several low lying areas of the Capital City and took stock of the water logging problem and talked to local people.
BMC Commissioner Kulange along with the team visited to ward-40 & 42 to review the result of night sweeping. He also interacted with the locals & shopkeepers about the sanitation in the area.
Mayor Das walked through the waterlogged Bhagabat Sandhan road in Ward -19 along with Corporator Smrutisikha Barisal this morning. ‘Efforts are on to drain out rainwater and repair damaged drains to restore normalcy in the area,” the Mayor said.
The Mayor also visited the waterlogged lanes from Palasuni to Kapileswar Vihar in Ward -18 along with Corporator Biplab Behera and spoke to the residents of the area this morning. BMC is busy dewatering the place by engaging pumps, she said.
