BHUBANESWAR:A voluntary blood donation camp was organized on Sunday, 30/11/2025, at the Purighat Police Station premises, with the joint efforts of the Indian Red Cross Society, Regional Branch, Commissionerate Police and Purighat Police Station. On this occasion, 154 units of valuable blood were collected.
On this occasion, Cuttack DCP Rishikesh Khilari, along with Bhapus, joined in and inaugurated the camp and encouraged the blood donors.
Additional DCP Ranjit Parshti, Sudarshan Dash, Zone-6 ACP Anwesha Awasthi (Bhapuse), ACP Ashok Kumar Giri, ACP Jayant Dora (Traffic), Corporators Banalata Pradhan, Laxmidhar Sethi, Itishri Dash, Gagan Ojha, social workers Ranjan Biswal, Rajiv Nanda, Prashant Kishore, Nishikant Mohanty of HDFC Bank Cuttack, and IICs of Darghabazar, Mangalbagh, CDA-2, Badambadi, Madhupatna and Purighat police stations were present in the program. Similarly, residents of various Sahi villages, Sahi Murabi, local social workers and officials of various organizations also joined this camp and supported the friends by donating blood. The workers of the Central Red Cross Blood Bank Branch collected blood in this camp.
To meet the need for blood in the Twin Cities, the Commissionerate Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Red Cross Branch has been organizing such blood donation camps at regular intervals.
