BERHAMPUR: Block-Level World Children’s Day Celebration held at Rangeilunda Block.This year, with the support of Youth for Social Development (YSD) and UNICEF, Children’s Day is being celebrated in the Rangeilunda block from November 14th to 20th. As part of this celebration, a block-level event was organized today at the Rangeilunda block office.

The event witnessed active participation from teachers, students, local administration, and parents. The theme for the celebration, “Listen to the Future,” emphasized the importance of hearing children’s perspectives about the future.

Key dignitaries at the event included: S. Rajeshwari Dora, Vice-Chairperson, Zilla Parishad (Chief Guest),Debabrata Mahunta, District Coordinator (Child Marriage),Chief speaker,Jyotsna Rani Padhi, Child Development Protection Officer (Guest of Honor),Kusum Padhi, Additional Block Education Officer, Jagannath Bhuian, Additional Block Education Officer,Sushant Kumar Jena, Additional Block Education Officer,Lakshmi nursinga Pattnaik, Block Social Security Officer, Chandan Kumar Sahu, Program Coordinator, YSD,Biplab Kumar Behera, Project Coordinator, YSD.

As part of the event several students were recognized for their excellence in academics. Additionally eight supervisors were honored for their contributions to schemes such as the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) and child welfare initiatives (Advika program). These included child development protection officers, Block development officers, Block education officers and Block chairman, along with district-level dignitaries like the Vice-Chairperson,Zilla parisad,DRDA and group heads.

The event was coordinated by Chandan Kumar Sahu and Biplab Kumar Behera, supported by block coordinators Sudip Kumar Chakraborty, Gitanjali Panigrahi, Mamali Panda, Nikki Pradhan, Jagamohan Mahapatra, Shashikant Pradhan, and Alok Kumar Nayak.The celebration served as a milestone in raising awareness about children’s development and well-being. It also promoted the concept of creating child-friendly Panchayats.
