BHUBANESWAR/CUTTCK: Amid reports of hoarding and black marketing of COVID-19 medicines and medical supplies, State Police Headquarters’ has taken strong note of it with Additional DGP(CID-CB) YK Jethwa, also holds additional Charge of (Law and Order) on Sunday held a detailed discussion with State Drug Controller.
“Today, Sh Y K Jethwa, ADG CID CB, the Chairman of the State Level Committee formed to prevent hoarding and black marketing of Covid medicines and medical supplies, had detailed discussion with the Drug Controller, Odisha,” tweeted Odisha Police@odisha_police.
It was decided that a Joint Flying squads, Surveillance teams and Surprise Checking Teams comprising enforcement wing of Drug Controller, Police, Special Task Force of Crime Branch etc. to be part of the Joint Enforcement mechanism. Sharp vigil and intelligence to be an integral part of the strategy.
Raids, searches and seizures and action under criminal laws against unscrupulous elements was finalized, police sources said.
