BHUBANESWAR: BJP’s Manmohan Samal, Sujeet Kumar and Party supported Independent, Dilip Ray on Monday won the Rajya Sabha Polls in Odisha.
BJD’s Dr Santrupta Misha won while BJD-Congress and CPI(M) supported candidate Dr Dateshawr Hota lost the polls.
Dilip Ray who won denied horse trading and said, emotion worked in his favour while BJD President Naveen Patnaik alleged that those MLAs have criminal records they voted to BJP candidates.
Sources said, at least 11 MLAs from BJD and Congress defied Party whips and done cross voting ensuring 3 seats for BJP in Rajya Sabha polls.
