NUAPADA:Sardar Patel made an effort to unite us all, irrespective of caste, religion, colour, and we are all Indians, and today the brotherhood of our Indians has been strengthened and to build a strong India, a sense of unity, harmony and patriotism is absolutely necessary among us. “Ek Bharat, Srestha Bharat, Atmanirbhar Bharat’ is our resolution,” said BJP State President Shri Manmohan Samal.
Today is the 150th birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and he played a major role in uniting the princely states after independence and making India a great nation. In 2014, in honor of this great son of the father, the legendary Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi started the Run for Unity program.
Similarly, in 2018, the world’s largest 182-meter-high Statue of Unity was installed in Kevadia, Gujarat, as a symbol of Indian pride. ‘Unity Run’ is held every year on October 31 in the memory of Sardar Patel. Today, on this occasion, Honorable Deputy Chief Minister K.V. Singh Deo, Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling, Minister Nityanand Gand, Vidyayika Sanjali Murmu, former Union Minister Visheshwar Tudu, youth leaders Abhinandan Panda, Prasanna Padhi, along with many local leaders and the general public participated in the Ekta Run held in Nuapada.
Similarly, BJP candidate Jai Dholakia, Minister Dr. Krishna Chandra Mohapatra, MP Sukant Panigrahi, MP Malvika Devi, MLA Naveen Jain, NAC President Dr. Sonia Jain, Yuva Morcha State President Abhilash Panda and many local leaders and the general public participated in the Ekta Daund held on Khariar Road. State President Shri Samal has called upon the youth to be inspired by the determination, love for the nation and ideals of Sardar Patel.
