NUAPADA:Sardar Patel made an effort to unite us all, irrespective of caste, religion, colour, and we are all Indians, and today the brotherhood of our Indians has been strengthened and to build a strong India, a sense of unity, harmony and patriotism is absolutely necessary among us. “One India, Better India, Self-reliant India” is our resolution, said senior BJP leader Golak Mohapatra.
Today is the 150th birth anniversary of the Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and his role in uniting the princely states after independence and making India a great nation. In 2014, in honor of this great son of the father, the legendary Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched the Run for Unity program. ‘Ekta Dauda’ is held every year on October 31 in the memory of Sardar Patel. Today, on this occasion, in the tribute meeting held at the state office under the chairmanship of State Vice President Dr. Jatin Mohanty, Dr. Purna Chandra Mallick mentioned the contribution of Sardar Patel.
The party will hold a unity march at 63 places in the state from today to November 26, said Jatin Mohanty, the organizer of the program.
