BHUBANESWAR: The BJP on Friday brought out a series of allegations against the Naveen Patnaik Government accusing it of derailing the State’s development.
Addressing a Press conference here, party observer for Odisha D Purandeswari said people of the State want a change as they have seen 22 years of misrule of a Government.
“While all development works of the State are supported by the Union Government, the State Government is not doing anything concrete,” she said.
Purendeswari released a ‘People’s charge-sheet-in-effective Government’ document for the panchayat polls and posed questions for the BJD Government.
She said the BJP would go to voters with some serious issues like PMAY corruption, atrocities on women, negligence of OBCs, growing loan burden on people, increasing migration and poverty in the State.
“Whereas real beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) are not getting houses, people are forced to pay Rs 20,000 to get a PMAY house and Rs 2,000 to get a toilet as bribe and all these benefits are being provided to BJD workers,” she alleged.
