BHUBANESWAR: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has launched many welfare schemes for the upliftment of the poor, backward and economically backward classes. Modi has made continuous efforts to protect their rights.
To get involved in social work like Modi, everyone celebrates his birthday as Seva Diwas. His birthday is celebrated from September 17 to October 2, Gandhi and Shastri Jayanti, as a day of service. As Modi’s 75th birthday falls this year, extensive plans have been made to make it memorable. A preparatory meeting was held today at the state office of the OBC Morcha, said OBC Morcha State President Shri Surath Biswal.
Shri Biswal said that tree plantation, cleanliness drive, health camp and exhibition on Modi’s life will be organized for the service starting from the birthday of the famous Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Extensive preparations have been started by the OBC Morcha in this regard. On Modi’s birthday, it has been decided by the OBC Morcha to light a lamp in the temple and wish him a long life. The workers of the Morcha will take up large-scale tree plantation at the mandal and district levels for the service, along with blood donation, health and cleanliness programs. Along with this, Shri Biswal said that the demand for local products will be increased, and people will be encouraged to buy Khadi clothes themselves and others to buy them.
State Vice President Shri Lalitendu Vidyadhar Mohapatra, State General Secretary Dr. Yatin Mohanty, who attended the meeting, discussed the importance of the service wing and the role of the Morcha. On this occasion, MLA Durgaprasanna Nayak, State General Secretary of the Morcha Gyanendra Swain, Vivekananda Jena, Sirdatha Pati, Santosh Mohapatra and other prominent leaders of the Morcha were present.
