BHUBANESWAR: BJP MLAs in Odisha on Friday strongly condemned the police action against Party’s Yuva Morcha activists and stalled the house proceedings. BJP MLAs carrying banners and posters alleged that to shield Minister Dibya Shankar Mishra, State Police taking action against Party’s Yuva Morcha, which had gheraoed the Assembly demanding action against the erring Minister.
BJP MLAs created ruckus in the well of the House, holding placards and banging gongs as a mark of protest over Mamita murder case and inaction against Minister of State (Home) Dibya Shankar Mishra.
Speaker, Dr Surya Narayan Patra, who had called an all-party meeting, failed to pacify the anger of Opposition and adjourned the House till 4 pm. The all party meet also failed to reach to a final solution, so that the House could run. It was for the 9h consecutive day, such uneasy scenes witnessed in the State Assembly.
