BHUBANESWAR: A total of 13 children admitted to the district headquarters hospital died in the month including four deaths in the last two days. Out of a total of 122 children admitted to the hospital this month, 13 have died till September 18.
BJP MLA Mohan Majhi on Tuesday demanded a judicial inquiry into the death of 13 infants within a span of 18 days at Keonjhar district headquarters hospital.
Majhi, who is also the chief whip of the Opposition party in Odisha Assembly, demanded a sitting judge of Orissa High Court to conduct the inquiry. He said only a judicial inquiry can unravel the real reason of the death of infants.
The BJP leader held medical superintendent responsible for such unfortunate incident.
