BHUBANESWAR: Odisha BJP President Manmohan Samal along with Party Observers Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Bhupendra Yadav , Dharmendra Pradhan, Ashwini Vaishnaw  Minister and MPs, the leader elected in the BJP Legislative Party meeting  Mohan Majhi, both Deputy Leaders  Prabhati Parida and  KV Singhdeo met Governor Raghubar Das at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday evening and staked claim to form the government in the state.

The support letter of the MLAs was submitted. Along with this, three independent MLAs also submitted their support letters today.

Earlier, Odisha BJP Legislature Party was unanimously elected senior Party MLA from Koenjhar, Majhi  as Leader and Majhi will take oath as Chief Minister of the State on Wednesday evening ending 24 years rule of BJD Government led by Naveen Patnaik.

The new Government will have 2 Deputy Chief Ministers including Patnagarah MLA KV Singh Deo and Nimapara MLA Prabhati Parida.

The decision was announced by Party’s election observers Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and Bhupendra Yadav. Union Ministers from Odisha, Dharmendra Pradhan, Ashwini Vaishnaw and Jual Oram and others were among those present.

Majhi said  due to the blessings of Lord Jagannath, the BJP has achieved majority in Odisha and is going to form the government in the State. I would like to thank the 4.5 crore Odias who decided to vote for a change and bring the BJP to power in Odisha. The BJP will definitely honour the trust that the people of Odisha have shown.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Ministers of BJP ruled States, Union Ministers are expected to grace the occasion.
