BIJEPUR/BARGARH: With ruling BJD claiming to win the Bijepur by polls by a whopping 40,000 to 50,000 votes, the BJP on Wednesday claimed that his party candidate Sanat Gadtia would win the Bijepur Assembly seat by a huge margin of votes in the October 21 by-election.

“A grassroots level study has revealed that voters have decided to vote for Sanat Gadtia since the Chief Minister has betrayed the people of Bijepur,” BJP national general secretary and Odisha-in-charge Arun Singh said. Bargarh MP Suresh Pujari and party’s senior leader Bijay Mohapatra were present.

He said though the Chief Minister made a lot of promises to the peopleof the Bijepur constituency, including Gangadhar Meher JalasechanPrakalpa, nothing tangible has been achieved.

The health and education problems continue as usual in spite of theassurance from the Chief Minister, he said. “There is Modi wave all over the country and the same also prevailsall over western Odisha that made clean sweep for five MPs of theregion during the last general election. The will be repeated inthe Bijepur Assembly constituency,” Singh said.
