NUAPADA:Today is the 150th birth anniversary of India’s first Home Minister, the iron man Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He was the main protagonist in uniting 550 separate states and forming today’s modern India into a vast nation. Therefore, today is being celebrated as National Unity Day across the country. Various programs have been organized across the country on this day to honor his sacrifice.
In this spirit, a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan program was organized at Nuapada bus stand today. BJP state president Man Mohan Samal participated in this and along with everyone, swept and cleaned the bus stand and its surrounding area.
Today’s event was attended by many BJP workers, officials and the general public, including Odisha Government’s Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling, Bangiriposhi MLA Sanjali Murmu, youth leader Abhinandan Panda, among others.
