NUAPADA:Today, the so-called anti-tribal Congress is saying that we have nominated tribal candidates. But despite being in power for 50 years, the Congress party could not open a ministry for the welfare of the tribals. The tribal ministry was formed for the first time after the BJP government came to power.
Under the rule of the successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Odia tribal girl, Smt. Draupadi Murmu, was made the President of the country. For the first time, the BJP formed a government alone in Odisha, with 18 out of 33 MLAs from the tribal community. Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, a tribal, was made the Chief Minister. Although Shri Giridhari Gamang became the Chief Minister due to Congress’s efforts, he was not given the government. Shri Oram said that this was the best indication of the Congress’s anti-tribal mentality.
