NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: The Central Election Committee of the BJP on Sunday announced the name of former MP and Industrialist Naveen Jindal as Party’s candidate for Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seat in Haryana.
Naveen Jindal said “I consider myself fortunate that BJP has given me the responsibility of contesting elections from Kurukshetra. I thank PM Modi and the party’s senior leadership for this opportunity. The people of Kurukshetra are like my family members and I have always received a lot of love and affection from them. It would be a pleasure to contribute to the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ in whatever ways I can.”
Of the total 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana, BJP had earlier announced names of 6 candidates while today, it announced its candidate for rest 4 seats including Kurukshetra, Rohtak, Sonepat and Hissar.
Naveen Jindal, who is also Chairman of Jindal Steel and Power, Chancellor, OP Jindal Global University and President Flag Foundation of India, had won Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seat twice and represented in 14th and 15th Lok Sabha.
With his massive popularity among voters, Naveen Jindal is all set to win the seat and enter into Parliament for the third times, sources said. Haryana Chief Minister has expressed confidence that BJP will win all 10 seats in the State.
