BHUBANESWAR:The Biju Janata Dal is currently going through a party crisis. This crisis has escalated to such an extent that no one knows who will take what decision. The party has said that they are marching only to save the stability of the party without knowing anything about their demands.

Every time, BJD President Naveen Patnaik starts the party march by showing the flag. But where he went today is raising questions. His party workers are now looking for Naveen. This march is going on without a leader. Today, the BJD is holding a ‘Service, Pride and Struggle Padayatra’ in Suandotha, the birthplace of Utkalmani Pandit Gopabandhu Das. But people have seen what service BJD has done for Odisha for the last 24 years. Under BJD rule, Odisha was number one in the country in terms of unemployment, crime, infant and maternal mortality rates.
The recently released NCRB report has revealed the issue of violence and harassment against women in the state under BJD rule. People have also seen that farmers have the lowest income. It is very funny to talk about Odia pride when the BJD supremo has not even learned Odia language in the last 25 years. BJD has never respected the sons and daughters of Odisha.
The ‘Gopabandhu Rural Employment Scheme’ in the name of Utkalmani Pandit Gopabandhu Dash was stopped. The BJD believes that only the great man in whose name the Biju Janata Dal was formed is the great man. That is why the BJD has disrespected the great man by making all the schemes and statues only in the name of Biju. The people have given a fair answer to the BJD for this. When the Biju Janata Dal was in the government, it did nothing for the mothers and sisters of Odisha, it cheated the farmers by promising to give them a bonus of Rs 100. It could not provide reservation in education to the backward classes.
But after the BJP formed the government in the state, Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi has started Subhadra Yojana for women empowerment and has given input assistance of Rs. 800 to farmers. This time, a record amount of paddy has been purchased from farmers. In addition, starting from increasing old age, widow and disabled allowance, the success of the BJP government should be conveyed to the BJD people through a padyatra, said State Media Coordinator Shri Sujit Kumar Das.
