KENDRAPARA: With of the 2104 of Odisha’s tally of COVID-19 positive cases, Kendrapara alone reported 139 including the highest 50 cases on Monday, BJD Zilla Parishad and District Planning Board member, Jyostnarani Jena has urged Kendrapara Collector Samarth Verma to take urgent steps to control the Coronavirus.
ZP Member Jyostnarani Jena suggest that the district administration should take steps for quarantine returnees and ensure their stay at local village schools and aganwadi centres after their release in 7-days to home. “Most positive cases, now coming from Quarantine returnees and home staying is suicidal for quarantine returnees in this time,” ZP Member Jyostnarani Jena said. There was no facility at home to adjust them it was better the district administration should take steps for quarantine returnees and ensure their stay at local village schools and aganwadi centres after 7-days at Quarantine centres, BJD Zilla Parishad and District Planning Board member, Jyostnarani Jena added.
Odisha has reported 156 fresh Covid-19 positive cases on Monday, marking the State’s highest single-day spike. With this, the State’s Coronavirus tally crossed the 2000-mark and went up to 2104. Out of a total of 156 COVID-19 cases detected in Odisha , Kendrapara reported the highest 50 cases followed by Cuttack (20), Ganjam (17), Jagatsinghpur (14), Kandhamal (9) & Bhadrak (7). It may be noted, as many as 6 persons including Anganwadi, ASHA workers and staff engaged in 2 Temporary Medical Camps (TMCs) in Kendrapara district have tested positive for COVID-19.
