BHUBANESWAR: Days after the Naveen Patnaik led BJD named Prabhu Jani as its candidate for Laxmipur Assembly seat in Koraput, dissident former MLA Kailash Kulesika, who had left Congress and joined BJD, to get a Party ticket, on Friday claimed that the Regional Party has offered him Rs 1 Crore and advisory post with Cabinet rank in Special Development Council.
Former MLA Kailash Kulesika made these startling revelations soon after joining BJP in presence of Party State President, Manmohan Samal, senior MLA and former Minister Arbinda Dhali and senior leader Arindam Ray.
Former MLA Kailash Kulesika said , BJD has betrayed him and Party’s organisational general secretary Pranab Prakash Das failed to keep his own words.
“I joined the BJD after the party promised me to give ticket for Laxmipur Assembly seat; but, they betrayed me and everything was cleared after the Party announced its candidate for the seat naming Prabhu Jani.
‘I feel very sorry and sad and it’s like backstabbing and betrayal at last moment, both Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and organisational general secretary Pranab Prakash Das not kept their words,” he alleged.
Chief Minister Patnaik’s announcement yesterday hurt me and finally I left BJD and joined BJP, he added.
Kulesika alleges that BJD assured him to ‘give Special Development Council (SDC) and Rs 1 crore after the elections’, but he denied it. BJD is yet to respond to the allegations of Kailash Kulesika. BJD will lose the seat by a huge margin as they betrayed a tribal youth. He alleged that sitting MLA Prabhu Jani involved in many corruption cases.
