BHUBANESWAR: BJD on Wednesday named Sambad Editor Soumiya Patnaik, KIIT founder Dr Acyhuta Samanta for Rajya Sabha polls.
Former Congress Chief Minister J B Patnaik’s son-in-law Soumya Ranjan Patnaik is Editor of Odisha’s largest circulated Odia daily “Sambad” and promoter of Eastern Media Private Limited which has Kanak News television channel.
Dr Samanta also has stakes in the Media (24×7 Odia news channel Kalinga TV).Samanta, also who enjoys international reputation for being the founder of KIIT University and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS).
