NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR:  BJD Rajya Sabha MP and National Spokesperson, Dr Sasmit Patra has came down heavily on Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Kotia issue.

In a series of tweets in response to Union Minister Pradhan’s reaction in Bhubaneswar, BJD MP Dr Patra asked the BJP leader why not he raised the Kotia issue with your Party-led Central Government or the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India in the 9 years

‘@dpradhanbjp Bhai, have you ever raised the Kotia issue with your Party-led Central Govt or the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of India in the 9 years you have been Central Minister out of which 6 years as Cabinet Minister?,’’ asked BJD MP.

‘Did you ever request the Central Governmet to intervene on Kotia or did you ever raise this issue in the Inter-State Council. Highly respected Shri. Biswa Bhushan Harichandan, a senior leader of your BJP Party in Odisha; was Hon’ble Governor of Andhra Pradesh for many years,’ Dr Patra future alleged.

“During his tenure as Hon’ble Governor of Andhra Pradesh, did you even once raise the Kotia issue with him despite meeting him many times?  Everybody knows you have never raised the Kotia issue in your 9 years as Central Minister, the BJD MP said.

‘You doing drama and shouting slogans on Kotia is fine; but if you truly cared from your heart for Odisha as a Union Minister of 9 years, you would well concede that these dramas and slogans by you will not solve the Kotia issue, ‘ he said.

The Central Government can solve this is issue through the Inter-State Council but you will never approach the Central Government even once, despite being a Central Minister of 9 years. But you would prefer to continue these dramas and slogans on Kotia outside in the media, MP Dr Patra said.

“Is your concern for Kotia only limited to your media coverage?  I sincerely hope you will respond to my queries otherwise it will be construed that you are feigning drama and trying to fool the people of Odisha and especially the people of KOTIA and KORAPUT,” Dr Patra added.
