BHUBANESWAR: BJD Lok Sabha and MLA candidates of Kendrapara on Thursday met Party supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at Naveen Niwas and expressed their gratitude for nominating them to fight the ensuing Lok Sabha and Assembly polls.
MP candidate Anshuman Mohanty, MLA candidate for Aul , Minister Pratap Deb , Minister Atanu Nayak of Marshaghai , Arbinda Mohapatra of Patkura met Chief Minister Patnaik. 5T-Nabin Odisha Chairman VK Pandian was also present during the meeting.
Meanwhile, Rajnagar MLA Dhuba Sahu, who was unhappy after the BJD named former Congress leader Anshuman Mohanty as its MP candidate for Kendrapara Parliamentray seat, deliberately skipped the meeting.
Days back, supporters of both Mohanty and Sahu faced off at Pattamundai during a felicitation function.
As candidate for Kendrapara MLA seat yet to be announced, no one from the seat met Patnaik.
