BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha Chief Minister Office Grievances Cell, which was non-operational since 2008, after 16 years of halt, stated functioning from Monday with People’s Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi led BJP Government in the State started hearing complaints from public directly and solving their issues in time bound manner.
The Official Residence of Odisha CM Majhi at Unit-V in heart of the State Capital wore a festive look with a large number of people turned out here to meet People’s CM and put their grievances before him.
Majhi will hear public grievances on all Mondays. Hearing of public grievances began from 11 AM for which registrations were done from 9 AM to 12 o’clock.
Sangrampur UPME School Headmaster from Boudh had came to the cell to drew attention of Chief Minister towards his School while another OPSC selected candidate came to grievance cell to meet CM as her appointment was not made. Huge gathering witnessed in the first day of the hearing.
Parking space, seating arrangement, drinking water, toilets, ambulance, fire service, space for journalists, waiting hall and medical unit has been made at the Cell while special arrangements have been made for PwDs.
Former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had last visited the CM’s grievance cell for a hearing on August 16, 2008. In his 24 years at helm as Chief Minister. Patnaik had heard the dilemma of people on 76 occasions. He had attended the grievance cell for the highest number of 20 days in 2001.
