JAJPUR/BHUBANESWAR: On Monday, Fakir Mohan Singh, SI of Police, Binjharpur Police Station , in Jajpur was caught red handed while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.6000/- from Complt. inorder to not arrest him in a miscellaneous case and to release him with notice U/s 41 (a) CrPC.
In this connection CTC Vigilance PS case No 36 dt.06.12.2021 u/s 7PC (Amendment) Act. 2018 has been registered. House searches launched at 2 locations in Binjharpur and Kandarpur(Cuttack) Investigation in progress.
In another case, assets worth over Rs.1.12 Crore unearthed in house search of Sri Achutananda Khuntia, Panchayati Executive Officer (PEO), Jhankarpali Gram Panchayat, Jujumura Block, Sambalpur. Search is in progress.
