BHUBANESWAR: Former minister and BJD MLA from Bhanjanagar constituency, Bikram Keshari Arukha is likely to become the next Speaker of Odisha Assembly.
Arukha on Friday filed his nomination for election to the post of Speaker of Odisha Legislative Assembly. Flanked by Minister Niranjan Pujari, Samir Dash, BJD Organisational secretary Pranab Das, MLA Sushant Rout and others, Arukha filed his papers with Assembly secretary Dasarathi Satpathy.
The election for the Speaker post is scheduled to be held on June 13. SN Patro had recently resigned from the post of Assembly Speaker due to health issues.
