BHUBANESWAR: Slum dwellers of State Capital have expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for turning slums into Biju Adarsh Colonies.
Representatives of slum dwellers across Bhubaneswar met Chief Minister Patnaik virtually and expressed their gratitude for the state govt.’s resolve for transformation of slums into ‘Biju Adarsh Colonies’ as part of the Jaga Mission.
Chief Minister Patnaik interacted with them for a while and inquired about their needs and concerns. He also elaborated on the govt.’s plan to make the state slum free by existing slum re-development with emphasis on electricity, roads, education, health, drinking water, and sanitation.
Local MLAs Susant Rout, Anata Jena , Minister Ashok Panda, Khurda Collector and other officials attended the meet.
