BHUBANESWAR/BARIPADA: Bidding starts for Badampahar Iron-Ore Block held by M/s Lal Traders & Agencies (P) Ltd, a Group company of Ghanshyam Mishra and Sons Pvt Ltd was on Wednesday began in Odisha.
The auction was delay for the block, which comes under Rairangpur mining Circle in State’s Mayurbhanj due to court case. Technical Bids opened on Tuesday followed by verification of Bids from Wednesday to June 19, Friday. Names of Technical Bidders will be announced on June 29 and preferred Bidders will be announced on July 6.
A letter from Joint Secretary to State Government, Manjulata Swain to Director of Mines, Deepak Mohanty said, payment of 1st instalment (10%) of upfront payment by the preferred Bidders for mining lease slated for July 15 and issuance of Letter of Intent (LoI) will b on July 24 for Badampahar Iron-Ore Block.
Lessee Ghanashyam Misra and Sons Pvt Ltd Mishra & Sons Pvt Ltd had on February 11 this year, retained Gorumahisani Iron Ore block in Odisha auction at a premium of 115 per cent.
