BHUBANESWAR: On Tuesday, Bibhuti Bhusan Harichandan, Former Sarpanch of Damasahi GP, in Nayagarh, who was charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(c) PC Act 1988/409/468/471 IPC, for misappropriation of Govt. money to the tune of Rs.4.84 Lakhs by using cheques forging the signature of the executive officer from IAY, TFC & GP fund joint accounts of the GP, was convicted by Hon’ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar .
He sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 3 years and fine Rs.25,000/-Detailed report follows.
