BHUBANESWAR:  In a major setback, Bhrugu Buxipatra, on Wednesday resigned from BJP alleging that the Saffron Party grossly neglected him.

Buxipatra sent his resignation letter to Party president Manmohan Samal. ‘With a heavy heart , I am tendering my resignation from the primary membership of of BJP,” Buxipatra said.

Buxipatra was eyeing on Koraput or Berhampur Lok Sabha seats but Party chosen other leaders for it.

It might be the reason behind his resignation, sources said.

‘Lately I have realised that , the Party does not require me or my contribution any more. There fore, I have decided to move on,’ he said.

Bhrugu is son of late former Minister Harish Chandra Buxipatra and brother of senior BJD leader Lopamudra Buxipatra.
