BERHAMPUR/CUTTACK: Berhampur R& B Circle Superintending Engineer Binoda Padhi under Vigilance Scanner. Odisha Vigilance officials on Tuesday raided multiple places in connection with allegation against Padhi on charge of possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Till last reports came in, raids were underway and calculation of total value of the official’s movable and immovable properties was yet to be completed. Sources said, Padhi owns huge assets and invest it in forged names.
Basing on warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur, sleuths of the anti-corruption agency conducted simultaneous raids at 12 places– two residential buildings and shopping complex in Ganjam, paternal house in Ganjam, office chamber at Berhampur, farm house in Khallikote, building and shopping complex at Hillpatna, under-construction building at Ambapua, under-construction building at Pankalapalli, house of a contractor at Jai prakash Nagar, house of a contractor at Gosani Nuagaon, house of Binoda Kumar Padhi’s nephew at Godavarish Nagar, residencial quarter at VIP Lane and a flat in Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar.
