Berhampur ITI identified as IISER temporary campus

Berhampur: Government ITI in Berhampur has been identified as the temporary campus for the proposed Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) and classes for 2016-17 would begin in time, said Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Sanjay Dasburma here on Sunday.

Accompanied by Higher Education, Science and Technology minister Pradeep Panigrahi and administrative officials, Dasburma laid the foundation stone for the campus. He also reviewed the progress of the temporary campus for which a three storey building has been constructed at a cost of `seven crore on the ITI premises.

Notably, Palur hills and Laudigaon under Gopalpur constituency have been proposed for the permanent campus of the institute.
