Informant:- Umakant Behera (57) S/O Lt. Benudhar Behera of Vill- Similipur , P.S-Banki,Dist-Cuttack, A/P- SI of Police at Begunia P.S Place of occurrence – House/ Godown of accused Biswanatha Mohapatra S/o Lt AdhikariMohapatra of and Prasanna Mohapatra both of vill Kantabada Ps BeguniaDist Khordha under Begunia P.S, Khordha.

On 14.10.2023 at 07.30 A.MGist of FIR-.On 14.10.2023 at 03.00 AM on receipt of credible information as per the direction of Shri Sidhartha Kataria, SP Khordha under the supervision of Sri Dillip Kumar Das (OPS), SDPO Khordha and Sri Biswajit Routaray, IIC, Begunia P,S, Khordha formed a team headed by S .I U.KBehera along with ASI J. Pujari , Hav P.K Acharya, C/473 M. Behera, C/283 P.K Behera, HG/165B. Balabantray proceeded to the alleged location and could able to detect huge quantity of firecrackers of different category near about two mini truck loaded quantity and 25 Kg gun powder from village Kantabada under Begunia Police Station.
These things were seized from the godown/house of Biswanatha Mohapatra and Prasanna Mohapatra who kept such things for manufacturing and trading purpose without having any license. Biswanatha Mohapatra S/o Lt Adhikari Mohapatra of vill Kantabada Ps Begunia Dist Khordha was detained at Begunia Ps. BD squad and DFSL team deputed to spot for defusal/destruction of explosive items and collection of samples from seized fire cracker and gun powder for C/E. Further investigation continues to trace the source of procurement, others involvement and pervious incident noticed at there.
Seizure :- Two mini truck loaded quantity of fire cracker of different category and 25 Kg gunpowder. The total worth of seized fire cracker and gun powder is approximately Rs 12 Lakhs.
