BHUBANESWAR: Speaker Bikram Keshari Arukha administered the oath to the new newly-elected BJD MLA Barsha Singh Bariha from Padampur on Monday .
BJD Ministers and MLAs including Pramilla Mallick, Snehagini Churia, Rita Sahu, Prafulla Samal, Prasant Muduli were among those present on this occasion.
Barsha had defeated her nearest rival Pradip Purohit of the BJP by a margin of over 42,000 votes.
The by-poll was necessitated after the demise of BJD MLA and Barsha’s father Bijay Ranjan Singh Bariha.
