BARGARH/BHUBANESWAR: The Quarterly General Meeting of Bargarh District Railway Users’ Association was held on 16/04/2023 in the conference room of the Agragami Yuvak Sangha. A unanimous motion was passed to adopt an agitational approach as the railway authorities have been adopting a delay policy without taking any positive steps towards the extension of Sambalpur-Puri Intercity to Balangir after several days of demand by the union and the people of Bargarh.
Meanwhile, Balangir Railway Users Union has invited the Bargarh Railway Users Union for discussion to take joint action on this. Therefore, it has been decided to call a meeting of all the institutions and individuals of the city from next month to carry out a peaceful movement. If the Railways has any difficulty in extending the said train; However, a new train will be demanded to run from Balangir to Bhubaneswar via Cuttack. The members were outraged as the Railways indirectly encouraged people to agitate for common problems.
Members also discussed various issues related to stations and rail transport. President Pradeep Debata, Vice President Krishna Chandra Panda, Sardar Pritam Singh and Indira Mohanty, Secretary Kamal Joshi, Joint Secretary Kishore Kumar Rath, Treasurer Abhijit Pratihar and other members Achutananda Barik, Malaya Mohanty, Gopal Chandra Dash, Govind Dash, Nirmal Kar, Abhay Bhoi, Tulasi Dash, Satyanarayan Panda, Devi Patnaik, Satish Dash, Uddhav Behera, Bishnu Dhanuka, Lucky Mirwani, Amit Sahu, Hardeep Singh, Prafulla Nanda and Anil Agarwal were present in the meeting.
