KENDRAPARA:  Banking on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Modi Guarantee’ and anti-incumbency wave against Naveen Patnaik led Odisha Government and well as against the the sitting 4th times MLA and State’s Industry, Energy and MSME Minister Pratap Keshari Deb, BJP’s rising star and dark horse, Krushna Chandra Panda filed his Nomination papers for the Aul Assembly seat in Kendrapara on Monday amid chants of Jai Shri Ram.

The BJP MLA candidate Panda, popularly known as ‘Krushna Nana’ took out a massive rally from Aul Bazar to Kendrapara town, where he filed his Nomination Papers at Sub Collector’s Office.

Panda is fight against the young scion of former Aul Royal Family and Minister Pratap Deb of BJD and Congress’s Dr Debasmita Sharma. In last 2019 polls, BJP had got near about 30,000 votes in Aul Assembly seat while this time, political scenario has changed a lot while sitting MLA Deb facing a lot of hardship due to internal disturbances and infighting in BJD. Several senior BJD leaders of Aul and Rajkanika have already left the Party and joined BJP extending support to Saffron Party’s MLA candidate Krushna Nana.

Krushna Panda getting huge sympathy for his role during Kharasrota River agitation, in connection of which, he was arrested due to pressure from the ruling party and stayed 2 months in Kendrapara Sub Jail. Leading Kharasrota River agitation now is helping BJP candidate Panda to convince people about anti-farmer sentiments of Naveen Patnaik Government.

Panda’s growing popularity in Aul has been giving sleepless nights to Minister Deb. Panda along with senior leader and former MLA Dolagobinda Nayak, senior leader Braja Sundar Bhuyan, Baikunthanath Parida and others have been travelling all 64 Panchayats of this Assembly segment to convince voters to vote for BJP.
