BALASORE: On June 4, 2024, at 5 PM, Sk. Jasim was attacked by Sanjay Singh and his associate near Badagaon Railway Station level crossing. The accused opened fire, striking Jasim with four bullets, resulting in severe injuries and subsequent death during treatment in Cuttack.
The case was initially registered under sections 307/34 IPC and 25/27 Arms Act but was later modified to sections 302/34 IPC and 25/27 Arms Act in Industrial ps no.87/dt.5.6.2024.
Investigation and Arrest:Balasore police successfully detected the case and apprehended the principal accused, Sanjay Singh aka Subodh Giri. The case is ongoing to apprehend his associates.
