BHUBANESWAR:  Union Railways Ministry has shifted General Manager of South Eastern Railway Archana Joshi. This move came following the unfortunate train mishap that took place a month back, at Bahanaga station in Odisha’s Balasore killing over 295 passengers.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, on the recommendation of the Railway Board, approved the appointment of Anil Kumar Misra — an Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers officer — as the new General Manager of South Eastern Railway.

Archana Joshi was transferred as the General Manager to Rail Wheel Factory in Karnataka’s Yelahanka. The 1985-batch Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer, had assumed charge as the GM of South Eastern Railway on July 30, 2021.
