BHUBANESWAR: BJP National VP-Spokesperson and 4th times former MP Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda was on Thursday paid an emotional tribute to legendary statesman and former Odisha Chief Minister Biju Patnaik on his Birth Anniversary.
Biju Babu was in fact the real force behind Baijayant Panda’s political growth till date. Panda , though not in BJD , even despite being one of its founding members, never missed a single stone unturned to keep the legacy of Biju Babu.
“During his 2 terms from Kendrapara in Lok Sabha, Panda always worked online of Biju Babu,” added a Kendrapara veteran in Bhubaneswar.
“Today is the Jayanti of the Tall Man of Odisha: a freedom fighter, daredevil pilot, entrepreneur & industrialist, staunch nationalist, & a towering politician.Loved by millions, Biju Uncle was a close friend of my parents, & an icon of mine.May his spirit live on forever,” Panda twitted.
It may be noted here that Baijayant’s late parents Dr Bandhidhar Panda and Ila Panda had shared a very cordial family relationship with Biju Babu and Gyana Debi.
