BHUBANESWAR: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Odisha on May 29 to campaign in Kendrapara and Balasore Lok Sabha seats. PM Modi will campaign for Party’s National Vice President and Uttar Pradesh election in charge , Baijayant Jay Panda in Kendrapara and sitting MP and former Union Minister Pratap Sarangi in Balasore Lok Sabha seats.
For PM Modi’s massive public meeting, Kendrapara BJP had written to District administration to allot Barua Ground, which is largest open ground in the district for meeting venue, while district administration allotted the same for May 29 meeting on May 22.
But interestingly, after knowing that PM Modi will hold a massive meeting at Barua Ground on May 29 , BJD approached the Kendrapara district administration requesting it to allot the Ground for Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s public meeting on May 27.
Most shocking, defying all protocols meant for VVIP security, Kendrapara district administration granted permission for the same on May 23. It may be noted here that, generally PM’s meeting venue came under scanner of SPGs 5 days before the meeting while PM will hold meeting on May 29 and Chief Minister Patnaik will meeting just 2 days before.
Sources said, since massive crowd were witnessed during Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s public meeting at Kulia Market Ground under Mahanga Assembly segment of Kendrapara Parliamentary seat, BJD anticipating a massive swing in favour of BJP during PM Modi’s meeting on May 29 , so BJD spin doctors , planned a meeting of Chief Minister Patnaik at the same venue 2 days before PM Modi’s public meeting.
Baijayant Panda’s rise within the BJP and massive support he is getting during election campaigning in Kendrapara Parliamentary seat, is also one of the reason behind BJD’s sudden game plan to host a meeting of Chief Minister Patnaik. BJD is now desperate to create hurdles for the BJP National Vice President Jay Panda, sources added.
Days back, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath openly said, PM Modi wanted Baijayant Panda to fight from Kendrapara, even though he was Election in charge for India’s biggest State, which sends 80 MPs to Lok Sabha.
The Chief Minister even said, people of Kendrapara are so fortunate to have a leader like Baijayant Panda. Such gesture from CM Yogi Adityanath to Baijayant Panda has not gone well with BJD spin doctors and they are spending sleepless nights as PM Modi all set to hit the campaign trail in Kendrapara on May 29.
