Baijayant Panda Writes to Indian Ambassador in Singapore for safe return of Odia Family

NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: BJP National VP in charge of Assam and Delhi, Baijayant Jay Panda, has written to India Ambassador in Singapore requesting him to intervene, for safe return of an Odia family hailing from tribal dominated Sundargarh district of eastern Indian State of Odisha to attend their ailing father at his native place.

Sources said Sanket Mohapatra son of Rabi Mohapatra of village Uparada in Rourkela of Sundargarh has been staying in Singapore for past 7 years while he could not able to come to his home in last 2 years because of COVID-19 crisis. When he came to know about his father’s ill health, he wanted to back home but faced hurdles at his work place in Singapore.

Failing to return back home, Mohapatra approached former MP Panda for his personal intervention with Ministry of External Affairs for his safe return. Accepting the request,  Baijayant Panda, has written to India Ambassador in Singapore requesting him to intervene, for safe return of  3 persons.
