Baijayant Panda Speaks at ORF-MEA hosted Raisina Dialogue -2022

BHUBANESWAR/NEW DELHI: The BJP National VP and In Charge of Assam and Delhi, Baijayant Jay Panda has spoken at the Raisina Dialogue -2022 jointly hosted by the New Delhi based Observer Research Foundation and Union Ministry of External Affairs.

Baijayant Panda, a former 4th times Indian Parliamentarian; spoke at a Panel Discussion “The Revenge of Ideology? Polarisation and the Exhaustion of Liberalism”, in which Secretary Foreign Affairs, Philippines , Carl Bildt Former PM , Sweden and Co-Chair, European Council on Foreign Relations, Stephen Harper Ex-PM Canada and Jane Holllute, Former Deputy Secretary , Department of Homeland Security of United States, participated .

“Modern India has transitioned away from an era of diffidence during the colonial period to one of confidence today, as it looks to actively engage with the world. #India is viewed as a collaborative nation by the whole world today,” said the BJP National VP Jay Panda while delivering his views.

Raisina Dialogue is a multilateral conference committed to addressing the most challenging issues facing the global community hosted by ORF and MEA India.

India’s growth is being welcomed by all, but global rules must evolve to reflect realities,” Baijayant Panda tweeted.

Union Minister of External Affairs, Dr S Jaishankar also spoke on this occasion. “Today, we do need to find ways to work together — on connectivity, climate change, and India is prepared to step forward in a much more substantive way on these global issues. This is a part of the world with unsettled boundaries, terrorism, and continuous challenges to the rules-based order. The rest of the world has to recognise that problems are not “going to happen,” but that they are happening,” Dr Jaishankar said.

Earlier, the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi had on Monday attended the inaugural session of Raisina Dialogue 2022 where President of the European Commission, H.E. Ms. Ursula Von Der Leyen delivered the keynote address.
