BHUBANESWAR/NEW DELHI: While congratulating the newly chosen Karnataka Chief Minister BS Bommai, BJP National VP in Charge of Assam and Delhi, Baijayant ‘Jay’Panda has rejected speculations of revolt by former CM Bookanakere Siddalingappa Yediyurappa on his alleged forced ouster from CMO in this Southern State and rather argued that, the change of leadership was in fact a decision of Party’s Central leadership and done in accordance with a very democratic decorum.
While talking to news agency, ANI, BJP National VP Jay Panda said BS Bommai was a seasoned politician and an efficient administrator, we are certain he will take Karnataka to new heights of development. Jay Panda refuted allegations of Party promoting family politics, as the present Chief Minister’s father, SR Bommai was also a former Karnataka CM.
The BJP is World’s largest political and democratic institutions and Central observers had gone to oversee the entire affairs and outgoing CM, has also taken into confidence before the change of guard, Panda, a 4th times former MP from Odisha, said.
Citing age restrictions, Jay Panda hoped, Bommai will live to the expectations and Yediyurappa ji’s support will be there, he added. The BJP National VP Panda said Yediyurappa ji was among tallest leader in the State and his blessings and guidance Party always needed.
Yediyurappa was also the only politician so far in Karnataka to have served 4 times as Chief Minister and3 times as Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. He is an MLA from Shikaripura constituency in Shimoga district, from where he has been elected 8 times.
Basavaraj Somappa Bommai is an Indian politician and mechanical engineer who is the current and 23rd Chief Minister of Karnataka. He is Member of Legislative Assembly in the legislature of Karnataka for Shiggaon, from where he has been elected three times since 2008.
