BHUBANESWAR/NEW DELHI: With the BJP swept Assam civic body polls, now the Party eyes on Delhi Municipal polls and taking the lead, Baijayant Jay Panda, Party’s National VP In Charge , reviewed a high level meet along with State leaders.
The BJP National VP in charge of Delhi and Assam, Jay Panda earlier today at held a meeting at Delhi Pradesh Karyalay , where creative committee presented campaign slogans, hoardings etc to senior leaders and office bearers for their feedback.
“Look out for hard hitting campaign messages of our work vs opponent’s advertisements,” Baijayant Panda tweeted. The BJP’s main focus is how to tackle Arvind Kejriwal’s APP.
All three corporations in the Capital city are currently ruled by the BJP, which has been controlling the civic bodies since the trifurcation of the erstwhile unified Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) in 2012.
The date of the MCD polls was to be announced on March 9, but the same day Centre wrote to the election commission to combine all three civic bodies ( South Delhi Municipal Corporation, North Delhi Municipal Corporation, and East Delhi Municipal Corporation) into one, for which EC deferred the poll schedules.
