GUWAHATI/BHUBANESWAR: BJP National VP Baijayant Jay Panda on Monday joined Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Himant Biswa Sharma at the inauguration of Cardiothoracic and Neuroscience Centre of Gauhati Medical College and Hospital in Assam.
With the inauguration, the new wing of GMCH now have a cardiothoracic and neuroscience centre (CNC) where four departments — cardiology, cardiothoracic, neurology and neurosurgery — have been set up. The CNC has been built at a cost of over Rs 200 crore.
The BJP Panda in a tweet said, in last 70 years, only 4 medical colleges were built in Assam while in past 6 years, 4 have come up while 17 in next 6 years, which demonstrates, Prime Minister Naendra Modi’s New India, the 4th times MP from Odisha, Panda added.
